Helen & I took my little girl, now not so little, to get weighed this past Friday. The number you are reading on that scale is correct – 14.42 pounds! This means she has doubled her birth weight, and then some, and now weighs the same as our chubby little furmonster, Esme. I plan to take a comparison picture sometime in the very near future. 🙂
Unfortunately, she will be getting weighed yet again today. I only say unfortunately because it is her 4 months shots this afternoon. I feel like we just did those terrible 2 month shots yesterday, and the anxiety is already starting to build in anticipation of that 5 o’clock appointment. Matthew gets off work at 5pm, and is meeting us at the doctor’s, so for the first time in my entire life I am keeping my fingers and toes (and eyes!) crossed that our appointment will run late and Daddy will get to hold her again, just as he did last time. I fear that Mama is not quite strong enough.
McKenna – Could you do me a favour, baby girl? Could you do me a favour and just not cry? It would be greatly appreciated if you could, because it just breaks your Mama’s heart. Every single time.
